When it comes to pot-luck, I am often referred to as the "Desert Queen" and have requests for cakes or other desserts. However, on occasion I need to bring something for the buffet line that isn't sweet and I am left scratching my head and trying to figure out what to bring. I am so happy that I was given the chance to review Fix-It and Enjoy-It: Potluck Heaven because I now have a choice between 543 different recipes to make!

In addition to the amazing recipes, they book also contains information on potluck benefits, carrying-in tips for attending potluck dinners, potluck hosting tips, and great occasions for potluck dinners. Don't worry if you have no potluck occasions, these recipes can be made at home for regular consumption as well!
Review: I own a couple of Fix-It books and I love them. There are so many recipes to choose from and their selections are so wide that you are sure to find many that make you want to break out your pots and pans and get cooking. I like the way the book is organized and it also has an index in the back that allows you to search for recipes based on main ingredients. Here are a couple of the great recipes I tried:
Strawberry Pretzel Dessert:
I made this dessert for my husband's birthday (can you believe he is married to "Cake Mom" and doesn't like cake!) and it was a HUGE hit. I was glad I made a double batch because his family took seconds and even thirds of this delicious dessert. It combines layers of pretzel crumbs, whipped cream/cream cheese spread, and a gelatin/strawberry top. It was perfectly sweet, yet light making it perfect for a warm day.
