World's Best Origami Review and GIVEAWAY!! **ENDED**

New Year's Resolution Idea: I will go a little less electronic this year and go back to the basics when it comes to activities!
World's Best Origami
When I was a kid, before video games took over the world, I remember finding a lot of joy in creating origami animals, flowers, and boxes.  I was never particularly good at it (visual-spacial activities are REALLY hard for me), but I had fun none the less. So, when I was given the chance to review World's Best Origami I was excited to give my old past-time another try.

World's Best Origami contains directions for creating over 100 models that range from fairly simple to amazingly complex and jaw dropping designs.  Professional origami artist, Nick Robinson, guides readers through the process of folding paper. In addition to easy to follow diagrams and instructions for completing the projects, the book also educates readers on choosing the best paper for the project, how to make basic folds and perfect creases, and how to understand origami symbols.

I usually have a very hard time following diagrams, but thanks to the flow of the pictures, the use of symbols, and accompanying directions I was able to follow the instructions. I really liked the wide variety of projects offered in the book and that a difficulty level is assigned so you do not rush into a design that may be too advanced. My kids were really impressed when I presented them with my (fairly pathetic) swan. I was glad they were impressed and it motivated me to start trying origami again!

Buy it here: World's Best Origami retails for $19.95 and can be found at bookstores or for a discounted price on Amazon.
