Alouette & Chavrie Cheese Review and GIVEAWAY!! **ENDED**

How many holiday parties are you attending this year? So far, I have six scheduled (not all by choice, mind you) and I just can't go to a party empty handed. This is why I was thrilled when I received a hug assortment of Alouette cheeses to sample this year.

Alouette cheeses and spreads are the perfect snacks to bring to any holiday gathering this year. They have just recently released a limited edition spreadable cheese in the flavor of Cheesecake!  The spread is great with crackers for an appetizer of can be paired with fruits or cookies for a simple yet delicious dessert. I took the cheesecake flavored spread along with the seasonal Berries & Cheese spread to my mother-in-law's on Thanksgiving and they were a huge hit.  I loved the sweet tastes and found that I ate so much of it before dinner I hardly had room for dessert. The Berries and Cream reminded me of flavored, whipped cream cheese and the Cheesecake tasted a lot like the classic dessert. If you are looking for a some recipes using these delicious spreads, you can browse through the extensive recipe collection on the Alouette website.

Alouette also offers two flavors in the form of a Spreadable Cheese Log. The cheese come nicely packaged and combine sun-dried tomatoes, garlic & herbs and cream cheese.  The logs are the perfect size to slice for crackers. The taste was very delicious, but bold. I enjoyed the flavors but had to sandwich the cheese between two crackers as the taste was very strong. The Cheese Logs are OU Kosher certified and gluten free.

I was given several Baby Brie cheeses to try. The Bries were rich with a creamy center. They tasted really great with some crackers, but I have my eyes set on a Caramel Apple Brie recipe from their website. I can't wait to impress some friends at an upcoming gathering when I walk in with it!

In addition to all the fabulous Aloutte cheeses I sampled, I was given some Chavrie goat cheeses to review. Chavrie cheese come in a variety of forms to include logs & pyramids. The pyramids are a bit softer and made it easy to use as a spreadable cheese. The logs can be sliced or shredded. I had never eaten goat cheese before and I was really impressed by the creamy and slightly tangy flavor. It tasted really great with flavored crackers and was another item that was a hit at Thanksgiving!
